STRENGTH TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
06/08/2026KEEP SHOWING UP
Beautiful Spirit, Life often celebrates the big moments. The promotions. The accomplishments. The milestones. However, we rarely discuss the power of simply showing up.
We can agree that showing up when you’re excited is easy, but showing up when you’re discouraged, uncertain, or tired requires something different. It requires commitment.
There are days when showing up may look like taking a big step forward. On other days, it may look like taking one small step, or simply refusing to quit. Either way, it counts.
We often underestimate the impact of consistent effort because the results aren’t always immediate. Yet most meaningful growth happens quietly over time.
Visualize a tree. It doesn’t become strong overnight. Relationships don’t deepen overnight. Dreams aren’t built overnight.
Progress is often the result of showing up repeatedly, even when you don’t yet see the full picture. This reminds me of a quote by the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Although it references faith, it is still pertinent to movement. “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
So if today feels ordinary, don’t discount it. If progress feels slow, don’t dismiss it.
Every time you show up for your goals, your health, your relationships, your faith, or your future, you’re building something.
Keep showing up.
Your future self will thank you.
Reflection:
Where in your life do you need to keep showing up, even when the results aren’t visible yet?
