08/21/2024Beautiful spirit, your girl’s still here! How about this title, “Rediscover Yourself?” Does this ring a bell? Can you relate? Empty nesters, women 50+, yes, I’m talking to you, too!
Before I get into chatting a bit, hello! Hugs and kisses to each of you! I’ve been busy working on my new venture, Shift With Grace Coaching.
Now to the subject at hand, we can easily get caught up doing, doing, and more doing, for others and neglect ourselves. Before you know it you find yourself burnt out. Tired. Stop it!
When was the last time you slept in? Got yourself a manicure and pedicure? How about going on a solo lunch date? This one will get you. Sit still and be quiet? I know that one can sound scary if you’re always in the midst of a bunch of noise.
I have learned that Rediscovering Self, or paying attention to yourself is beneficial, and can be advantageous to your overall well-being. I love to walk! I’ve shared this many times. Not only has it been tranquil, but it’s allowed me to embrace the natural Vitamin D. And, I have walked my butt off! The plus side to that is, I love the way my clothes fit! Consider implementing four simple ways to rediscover yourself listed below.
4 WAYS TO REDISCOVER YOU
I don’t have a whole lot of steps, or some thick book on how to do this. To me, it’s simple. Let me know if you agree. Here you, go!
- Be intentional with yourself and time.
- Be still.
- Really think about what makes you happy and do more of that.
- Dream. Not just for kids…….
You can put these in whatever order you want, but implement them. For some of us, it could be time to pivot. Shift to the next thing that may be life-changing, and positive. If you’re an empty nester, can you say, freedom? I feel you, and am loving mine. Freedom, that is. How many of you are empty nesters, or in the midst of a transition? Share it in the comments.
It’s great checking in with you, beautiful spirit. Let me know what resonates with you. I gotta go. Until next time, don’t be a stranger! Start living your best life!
XOXO,
GEM

So very true bc if you don’t take care of yourself, so many things suffer. I been reading alot of good books lately. I’m off social media. Less screen time. If I’m on my phone it’s only because of work. It’s so nice to lose it sometimes.
Miss you!
Kim, I love it! It’s the little things that make such an impact. We have become so busy, and connected to our cell phones, social media, etc., that we can’t be still. The idea of practicing stillness is a game-changer! Try it and let me know what happens. 🙂
Miss you more! Girl, my plants……..How’s your garden? Mine few items…..:(
XOXO,
G
