FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
12/13/2023FRESH START
01/03/2024IT WAS FUN FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
Beautiful spirit, Kim and I had a great time at the Festival of Lights on James Island. To say it was cold would be an understatement! It was frigid! I forgot my much-needed hat. However, I did remember my gloves. 🙂
I’m glad to hear that you and Kim had a wonderful time at the Festival of Lights, despite the chilly weather! It sounds like it was downright frigid out there. Forgetting your hat must have made it even colder, but at least you remembered your gloves to keep your hands warm. Sometimes, the cold weather adds to the festive atmosphere, creating unforgettable memories.
I took a few photos as we were driving. So if a few pictures are blurry, that’s why.
Some of the pictures are of the Christmas displays, Christmas cards by different organizations and schools, the gift shop, and other happenings on the ground.
Santa was there taking pictures, and so was the Little mermaid. Nope, I didn’t have my picture taken. 🙂
It sounds like the Festival of Lights had some fun characters for photo opportunities, including Santa and the Little Mermaid! Even though you didn’t get your picture taken with them, it must have been enjoyable to see them there adding to the festive atmosphere.
These photos are not edited. It’s all fun so I hope you smile a little. I didn’t take a picture with Santa, and the little mermaid, but Kim and I ate a hot pretzel with mustard. It was delicious!
It sounds like you had a delightful time at the Festival of Lights! Even though you didn’t take photos with Santa or the Little Mermaid, enjoying a delicious hot pretzel with mustard sounds like a wonderful treat. I’m glad you had fun, and I’m sure your unedited photos captured some great memories.
If you’re in the area, it’s a great family event. Load up your automobile with hot chocolate and other goodies that you can partake of as you ride. I almost forgot they had a train ride, too! It was too cold for me to do that, and the merry-go-round.
Plan to visit. Remember to check the calendar and pay online to save. Then all they will do is scan the QR code as you go through the gate.
