CREATIVE OUTLETS: MAKING SPACE FOR CREATIVITY AND JOY

Beautiful Spirit, It’s June. Can you believe it? It seems like we were just welcoming a new year.

I’ve noticed that some of my best ideas arrive when I’m walking. The movement, fresh air, and quiet moments often create space for creativity to surface. Recently, one of those walks made me think about creative outlets and how important they are in our lives.

Over the years, my own creative journey has evolved. I started with jewelry, moved into refinishing furniture, and later began creating gift tags that became hot sellers during the Christmas season. More recently, I’ve added handcrafted notecards to the mix.

What I’ve learned is that creativity isn’t just about making something beautiful. It’s about expression. It’s about creating space for joy. It’s about giving yourself permission to explore something new.

For some, that may be painting, sewing, gardening, baking, or crocheting. For others, it may be starting a side hustle or finally pursuing an idea that’s been sitting quietly in the back of their mind.
