ILLUMINATE THE WORLD
06/16/2025Beautiful spirit, I’ve done the walk already, and while doing so, the wheels were turning. Hence this post. “You Are Sweet Enough.”
Sometimes we can hear something repeatedly, and it still doesn’t register. So here’s my question to you. Yes, I like questions because they make us think. We need more questions instead of swallowing what someone says, hook, line, and sinker.
Okay, I need to get back on track. What if you were to cut out processed sugar? What is processed sugar? I hope you are enlightened after reading the definition.
6 TYPES OF SUGAR
Here are six examples of processed sugar:
Granulated Sugar (white sugar)
Brown Sugar
High-Fructose Corn Syrup
Confectioners Sugar
Glucose
Fructose
This is not an exhaustive list, but rather names connected to sugar. The list is endless.
THE HIDDEN TRUTH
Sugar is in almost everything. Because we don’t know all of its names, or we don’t read labels, it often goes unnoticed. Familiarize yourself with the names listed above.
When I’m out and about, and I come up with these interesting titles, I know they’re not for nought. Someone needs to hear it whether they respond to the post or not. And for the record, it does my heart good to know that you read the post. ♥
Now that I’ve exposed you to a few names, what are you going to do about it? When you think of sugar, I bet you don’t equate it to addiction. Guess what? Although it’s not listed as an addictive substance, It does exhibit qualities of addiction.
WHERE DO I START
Because you are sweet enough, I know this might be a punch in the gut for some. Morever, there are great benefits to heeding this advice by reducing the sugar. Consider the following suggestions: You Can do, it!
Soda drinker, start by decreasing the number you drink a day.
Coffee/Tea, decrease the amount of sugar you use. Let me inject creamer here. I used to be one that would add coffee to my creamer. You read that right! Thank God for deliverance!
Read labels. If you see the above mentioned names of sugar in the first sentence, that means it has a lot of sugar.
Here are more suggestions for my sweet tea lovers. When eating out at restaurants, I order a half sweet, and half non-sweet tea. Then I dilute that with water. Or, I sometimes order sweet tea and a glass of water, and drink a little water and then add a little sweet tea. I add just enough to give my water a little flavor. However, most of the time, I’m drinking water with lemon. As you can see you have choices. Or you can quit the refined sugar cold turkey!
I intentionally kept this post brief as I didn’t want to overwhelm you with all the ramifications of what sugar can do to your body. Plus, I’m not a medical professional, and I don’t want to be viewed as one giving medical advice. That’s my disclaimer. 🙂 I want you to begin to take not of those calories that could be reaking havoc on your body.
The main way to be aware of sugar content, is to read and commit some of its names to memory. I hope this post has been helpful. This is GEM, and I approve of this post. 🙂

GEM
