Beautiful spirit, happy Wednesday!  Yes, I’ve been missing in action! (M.I.A.) It’s been for good reason.  I have a lot of irons in the fire.  With church, coaching, gift tags, jewelry, just say life in general. I’ve been a little business.  I am one to make it happen.  If I don’t, who will do it for me?   Which reminds me, if you are an Empty Nester, I’d love to do a “Free” (no charge or harassment), coaching session with you.   That’s what I’ve been up to!

WORD OF THE DAY

Today, I thought I’d share a little vocabulary.  The word of the day is, “Shrinkflation.”  Yep, it’s a real word.  Miriam Webster, the online version, says, it’s the practice of reducing a product’s amount or volume per unit while continuing to offer it at the same price.

I thought this was worth sharing just in case you hadn’t noticed all the air in the bags with only two chips in there, and the price is still the same.  My statement is a bit hyperbolic but you’ve experienced it.  The next time you go into the grocery store, look at the size of some of the items you normally purchase.  I think I first noticed it with the spaghetti sauce.  Let me know where you’ve noticed it.  This article is good and gives insight.

MOVE OVER COMFORT ZONE

This is an appropriate title for anyone who wants to do something, but for whatever reason, has not leaped.  Well, I have to take my advice.  As I often tell my husband, we have to practice what we preach!  That said, I started a YouTube Channel called, Shift With Grace, which has to do with my coaching business.  It’s my first one so don’t judge.  It wasn’t about perfection, but more so, getting it started.  Making it happen.  There goes that phrase again!  I’m still working out the kinks.  My goal is to try and do a post once a week.  Preferably on a Friday.  We’ll see as I am a one-woman show, for now.

THE WEATHER

I almost forgot.  How was your 4th of July!  Ours was peaceful.  We went to Isle of Palms aka, IOP and people watched, ate, took at nap. Then we repeated the process. That literally is what I do.  Although this time, I shocked my husband and dipped my toes in the water.   The day culminated with fireworks at Gahagan Park.  They were awesome!

Now back to this weather!  It has been hotter than  this biblical reference.  Have you been staying hydrated?  Wearing your sun screen?  You know you have to protect your skin if you’re outside for long periods of time.
